Saturday: Canoe – πεζοπορία - ποδήλατο at Nestos
We meet at Riverland's base in Stavroupolis at 10am. After we get the safety equipment we depart for the starting point of our trip. Following a short lesson on canoeing techniques we enter the waters of Nestos. This section of the river has no technical dificulties and we have the chance to  admire the natural beauty of Nestos canyon. When we arrive in the old train station of Livera we do a short break to observe the birds of pray nesting in the area. The view of the river from above and the wild horses we see on the way to Livera is a unique exerience. At the end of the footpath the mountain bikes are waiting for us and we cicle down hill towards Stavroupolis, arriving there at around 17:30. Total duration: 7 hours 

 

Time in canoe: 2 hours

Time hiking : 2 hours

Time with mountain bikes: 1hour

 

Sunday: Rafting in Nestos
We meet at Riverland's base in Stavroupolis at 10:30am. After we get the safety equipment we depart for the starting point of our trip at the damn of Platanobrisi. Following a short lesson on rafting techniques we enter the waters of Nestos. This section of the river is classified 2nd-3rd degree. A mounain forest scenery is is around us all the way to the end of our trip in Paranesti. We return in Stavroupolis at 14:30.

Total duration: 4 hours

Rafting time: 1,5 hours
